Marsha Hope Bedwell Toyne, age 70 of Laurinburg passed away at Morrison Manor on Saturday, April 1, 2017.
A memorial service is being planned for a later date.
She retired after many years of service from St. Andrews University as the operation manager for the Equestrian Program and the East Coast Regional Equestrian Conference.
Survivors included her husband of 52 years, John Allen Toyne of the home and children, Cheri Marie Haugen (Philip) of Fort Mill, SC, Johnna Aileen Hillstead of St. Louis, MO and Jeffrey Allen Toyne (Neecie) of Myrtle Beach, SC; brother, James Bedwell of Tucson, AZ and sister, Melba Hines of Mt. Vernon, IN; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Remembering my wife Marsha, She made many friends after moving her from St Louis, being a travel agent , office assistant for several companies, Bowling center manager and coach/instructor and officer on many leagues and tournaments. She was especially proud of the coworkers and students and teachers At St Andrews. Missing her already, husband John

Marsha was an excellent Administrative Assistant in the MNS (Mathematics and Natural Sciences) Division, here at St. Andrews. We hated to see her leave, but she clearly continued to serve the College at the same level of excellence that characterized her work here.
