Ronald Lee Oxendine, age 63 of Clemmons, formerly of Laurinburg, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
Ronald was a son of the late Walter Oxendine and Margie Locklear Oxendine born September 19, 1953 in Scotland County. He was a Registered Land Surveyor with the State of North Carolina and the owner of Ronald L. Oxendine Surveying. He was an active and faithful member of Redland Pentecostal IPHC in Advance, NC, where he served as a Church Elder and the audio and video technician. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed college and high school football, a faithful fan of Wake Forest University and Scotland High School. Ronald’s entire life was centered on his faith and the love for his family, a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother who will forever be missed.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Wayne Oxendine.
Ronald is survived by his wife of 43 years, Valeree Hohmann Oxendine of their home in Clemmons; his children, son, Chad C. Oxendine ( Susan ) of Concord and daughters, Jennifer Cedeño ( Leo ) and Michelle Oxendine both of Winston Salem; brothers, Freddy Lee Oxendine ( Christine ) and Jeffery Lee Oxendine both of Laurinburg, Allen Oxendine of Fayetteville; sisters, Leslie Dial of McColl, SC, Christian Oxendine of Rockingham; his grandchildren, Alex Oxendine, Kayshla Cedeño, Austin Oxendine and Ayden Cedeño; uncle, Wylie Luther; aunts, Fannie Luther, Louise Hunt and a host of family and special friends.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, May 19, 2017, at Redland Pentecostal IPHC, Advance, NC. A time of visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the Service of Celebration at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Pastor Dave Richardson, Jr. The family will receive friends later on Friday beginning at 4:00 p.m. at Northview Harvest Ministries, Laurinburg, NC followed by a graveside service at 5:00 p.m. in the Oxendine Family Cemetery.

When I saw Ronald, he had a glow and an incredible smile that echoed the voice of the Savior. Ronald lived this life witnessing for God. We all are blessed to have experienced Ronald's witness in our lives, and to be loved by him. We love the family. Our prayers are with you!!!!!

Jeffrey and Freddie and family, we are so deeply sorry about Ronald! He was such a sweet and kind man and he made a happy impression on people with that infectious smile. I know you will miss him but you KNOW without a doubt that you will be together again soon. Praying for you all with love.
