Susanne McDonald McInnis, age 65 of Rockingham departed this life for her Heavenly home on Saturday, November 18, 2017.
Susanne was the only daughter of the late James Martin McDonald and Mary Barksdale McDonald was born in Florence County, South Carolina on June 6, 1952. She graduated from the Hamlet Hospital School of Nursing in 1974. She devoted her life to caring for others as a nurse and retiring after many years of service from Sandhills Medical Center. She served as a member of the First United Methodist Church of Rockingham, the current Chapter Regent of the General Henry William Harrington Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, current Board member of the Christian Closet, a North Carolina Master Gardener, missionary to Honduras and a Nurse Volunteer for the Compassionate Care Clinic. Susanne enjoyed collecting antiques, colonial history, causing her own kind of trouble, always ready to help, standing up for what she believed in and always leaving her mark; although, her greatest joy was caring for others before herself and sharing time with her family. As a registered donor, she left this world still giving to others.
