Erma Alice “Nana” Simms, age 77 of Laurinburg passed away on Thursday December 7, 2017.
Erma was born on April 02, 1940 in Greenbrier County, West Virginia, a loving daughter of the late Jesse Fred Simms and Freda Mae Simms. She retired after many years of service with Abbott Laboratories. She enjoyed drinking coffee, traveling to the beach, bowling, flower gardening and most of all, she loved babysitting for her grandchildren. Erma will always be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, aunt and friend and she will truly be missed.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Virginia Rogers, Bobby Simms, Arby Simms, Lewis Simms and Ernest Simms.
Erma leaves behind her children, sons, Teelo Rutledge (Mary Anne) of Mechanicsville, VA, Timothy Rutledge of Wheeling, WV, Joey “Joe” Rutledge (Annette) of Okatie, SC; a daughter, Kim Rosinski (Thomas, Jr.) of Laurinburg; brothers, Shelton Simms of Flint, MI, Eugene Simms of Rainelle, WV; eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel. The family will have a time of remembrance beginning at 3:00 p.m. A private interment will be at a later date.
Memorial donations are requested to be given to the Restoring Hope Center or Church Community Service.

In God's word the Bible is a wonderful promise for the loved ones we have lost in death to be fulfilled very soon by his son Jesus Christ it will give you hope and comfort during this difficult time please read this wonderful promise in your Bible Acts 24:15; John 5: 28,29 and Revelation 21:3,4 jw.org.
