Kather Ann Locklear Faircloth, age 78 of San Antonio, TX, formerly of Autryville, NC passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2017.
Kather was a daughter of the late Mack Locklear and Thelma Oxendine Strong born in Robeson County on October 22, 1939. She was a loving homemaker and retired after 40 years of service as a seamstress. She was devoted to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved family with all her heart and it showed in all she did especially in her cooking and sewing. She truly enjoyed her time traveling and talking with her family and friends. She served as a member of Standing in the Son Church in San Antonio, Texas.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Nathan Faircloth; son, Ronald Pevia; daughter, Veronica Tatum; sister, Carline Strong and brothers, Kermit Locklear, J.T. “Peter Will” Strong, Gerald Strong, James Strong, Eddie Strong and Mitchell Strong.
She leaves behind her children, sons, Donald E. Pevia of San Antonio, TX, Rickey J. Pevia of Muskogee, OK and her daughter, Victoria S. Febus of San Antonio, TX; brothers, Earl Strong of Laurinburg, Jeffery Strong of Raleigh, Ricky Strong of Gibson; sisters, Mary Helen Locklear, Barbara Ann Locklear, Patricia Haggans, Linda Locklear all of Maxton and Brenda Strong of Fayetteville; grandchildren, April Jackson, Victoria Arriaga, Stephanie Hough; great grandchildren, Oywn Jackson, Odeshia Jackson, Ana Jackson, Isabella Arriaga, Amaya Arriaga, Shauntiago Arriaga and her many nieces, nephews and a host of loving family.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12 Noon on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. until noon. A private interment will be held at a later date.
