Carol Evans Farmer, age 72 of Laurinburg passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2018.
Carol was the only child of the late Wesley Evans and Nellie Quick Swann born in Marlboro County on August 31, 1945. She retired after many years of service as a telephone operator with AT& T and then worked in customer service with the Comfort Inn. She served as a member of the First Baptist Church of Laurinburg. Carol’s greatest joy was sharing time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughters, Michelle Odom of the home, Dana Farmer Hardeman and husband Grady of Landis and her grandchildren, Jordan and Lindsey.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 18th at the First Baptist Church officiated by Dr. Wayne D. Wike. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. A private interment will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests for memorial donations to be given in Carol’s memory to the First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 883, Laurinburg, NC 28353 or Scotland Regional Hospice, P.O. Box 1033, Laurinburg, NC 28353.
