Madeline Bundy McGee



Madeline Bundy McGee, age 90 of Laurinburg passed away on Friday, January 05, 2018 the Scottish Pines Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Madeline was born December 10, 1927 in Lumberton, North Carolina, daughter to the late Mathie Speight Williams and Arthur Bundy. She was the loving and devoted wife of 58 years to the late Eugene McGee. She worked in textiles for many years and retired from Waverly Mills. She was a member of Laurinburg Pentecostal Holiness Church. Her greatest joy was serving the Lord and being a prayer warrior. She truly enjoyed working in the church and helping others. She loved her family dearly and she will forever be missed.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Kathleen McGee and two granddaughters, Sheila Hilbourne and Amy Lynn Stone; brothers, James Bundy, Chalmers Williams, Johnny Williams; sisters, Lilly Mae Williams, Lois Weaver and Shirley Morgan.

Madeline leaves behind her daughters, Betty McGee of their home, Brenda McGee of Laurinburg, Carolyn Hilbourne of Tarboro and son, Donald Hilbourne of Tarboro; brothers, Don Williams, Ronnie Williams and sister, Martha Keel; two grandchildren, five great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews including a special niece, Marilyn Bonham and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 7, 2018 at the Laurinburg Pentecostal Holiness Church officiated by Pastor Gary Wilson. Burial will follow the service in Hillside Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Sunday beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the Laurinburg Pentecostal Holiness Church.
