Franklin "Boe" Winburn



Franklin “Boe” Winburn, age 67 of Laurinburg passed away to his Heavenly home on Monday, March 19, 2018.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon on Friday, March 23, 2018 at Multitudes Church officiated by Pastor Opie Swails. Burial with military honors will follow in Laurinburg Memorial Park.

Franklin was born on December 31, 1950 in Marlboro County, a son of the late Clarence B. Winburn and Gretchen Driggers Winburn. He was a veteran who proudly served in the United States Army and retired after 25 years of service from Arvin Meritor. Boe was a devoted Christian who faithfully served as a member of Multitudes Church. He loved fishing, camping, riding ATV and playing corn hole. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was quite a jokester with each of them. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend who will truly be missed.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Driggers.

He leaves behind his wife of 46 years, Nancy Britt Winburn of the home; daughters, Nikki Luquer (Eric) of Laurinburg, Frankie Maddox (Billy) of Laurel Hill, Miranda Winburn of Laurinburg; brother, Bobby Winburn (Kim) of Tatum, SC; sisters, Loretta Shaw (John), Etta Mae Winburn both of Laurel Hill, Linda Shoemake (Rick) of Shallotte, Geneva Patterson (Richard) of Ocean Isle Beach; grandchildren, Summer Luquer, Kandon Luquer, Jenna Luquer, Zowie King, Sophie Maddox; a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends.

The family requests memorial donations to be given in memory of Franklin to Multitudes Church, 15301 John Calhoun Road, Laurinburg, NC 28352.

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 22nd from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Multitudes Church.
