Patricia McCormick Smith, age 73 of Wagram passed away at her home on Friday, April 20, 2018.
Patricia was born in Dillon, South Carolina on May 21, 1944 a loving daughter of the late William McCormick and Louise Thompson Haywood. She graduated from Laurinburg High School with the Class of 1962. Pat then married the love of her life, Stephen on April 4, 1964. She dedicated her life to her family as a homemaker who also loved playing golf, sewing and cooking. Her greatest joy was the time shared with her family, especially with her grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Billy McCormick.
Patricia leaves behind her husband of 54 years, Stephen E. Smith of their home in Wagram and her daughters, Beth Smith McCormick (Mac) of Youngsville, Becky Smith Maples (Jim) of Randleman, Cindy Smith of Fayetteville; sisters, Alice Ramos of Laurinburg and Mary Hughes of Cape Coral, FL; nine grandchildren, Corrie Casey Prentice, Stephanie Casey Pease, Megan Maples, Amanda Wood Pike, Carly Wood, Brant Maples, Devyn Lynn, Alyssa Lynn, Alayna Lynn and eight great grandchildren, Tori Carpenter, Matthew and Caden Prentice, Briley Cook, Randi Pike, Sami Beth Pease, Hudson Pease, Raegan Pike and a host of loving family and friends.
The family request for memorial donations to be given to the Alzheimer’s Foundation or Scotland Regional Hospice.
A private memorial service is being planned for a later date.

I am so sorry for your loss. May the God of All Comfort be with you during this difficult time. I have personally found comfort in the promise of 1st Corinthians 15:26 where it states that soon death will be brought to nothing. Then we will have the prospect of being reunited with our loved ones right here on earth(John 5:28,29).
I truly hope this brings you comfort and peace. My deepest sympathies for you all
