Isaac Cleveland Barnhill



Isaac Cleveland Barnhill, age 88 of Maxton passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2017.

Isaac was born on June 24, 1929 in Scotland County a son of the late Kurtis Cleveland “KC” Barnhill and Elizabeth “Lizzie” McGee Barnhill. He retired after many years as a truck driver for People’s Gas and Oil Company and served as a member of Wagram Church of God. In his younger years, Isaac loved to farm, gardening and camping in the mountains. Above all, he enjoyed sharing time with his family.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Jesse “Leon” Barnhill, Carolyn Arnette and Betty Quick.

Isaac leaves behind his loving wife, Annell Barnhill of the home; sons, Ronnie C. Barnhill (Pamela) of Danville, GA, Sandy Lee Barnhill (Karen) of Candler; daughter, Kathy Coble (Greg) of Maxton; brothers, Fairley Barnhill (Jean) of Ashe, Samuel “Sam” Barnhill of Laurinburg; twelve grandchildren, five great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and a host of loving friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel officiated by Rev. Jimmy McKenzie. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held prior to the service on Wednesday from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
